CityHope Youth will serve alongside Pastor Pablo and Kim Elvir at our CityHope Honduras Campus to share God’s love with the people of San Pedro Sula. The team will assist our Honduras Campus Kids/Youth minister through evangelism, dramas, and feeding programs in schools, orphanages, and neighborhoods in the local community.

Where will we stay?
Our teams stay at a family-owned bed and breakfast that is owned and operated by a family from our CityHope Honduras campus. They display true Honduran hospitality that will make you feel right at home!
What will we eat?
All of your meals are “home-cooked” at the bed and breakfast. We will eat local foods and get a taste of the Honduran culture and customary foods they eat. It’s very hard to accommodate food allergies in some countries, if you have food allergies, please let me know in advance.
Latin American food is some of the best in the entire world. With nearly every meal being home-cooked, you’ll experience more than just a delicious taste. You’ll know that loving hands prepared your meal. One customary food is the red refried beans that often come in something called a Baleada (a tortilla with refried beans, Honduran creme, and cheese). They are common and delicious delicacies that set the basis for some of the cultural meals that you may come to love.
What should I bring?
Each trip is different and you’ll be given a packing list for this specific trip at the mission meeting. You will bring all the basic necessities for hygiene and living. Clothing is mainly shorts, jeans, t-shirts. Tennis shoes and sandals. Since Honduras can be very warm to hot nearly all year, it is recommended that you wear clothing that ensures comfort and doesn’t add any extra heat.
Do I need vaccines?
We recommend getting a current tetanus shot as well as hepatitis A&B. Always check the CDC for recommendations when traveling.
