Israel Retreat – 2020

Details

We would like to invite you to join us on an adventure of a lifetime — a spiritual retreat “on location” in ISRAEL. There is something so profound about seeing, smelling, and touching the very ground where Jesus walked and the sights that He saw. It will connect you to the very heart of Him and all that he intended to do as He walked this earth. We will live where Jesus lived and sail the waters He walked upon. We will travel the many paths that he took to get to those who needed a miracle. We will travel up to Jerusalem, the Holy City. You will see the ruins of the Temple where He moved daily and stand where He agonized in the garden before the betrayal. You will walk into the tomb that could not hold Him, be baptized in the Jordan River, float in the Dead Sea, and gaze in amazement at the Valley of Armageddon where human history will someday come to its climax. Bible stories will come alive, and you will never be able to read the Bible the same way again! Deadline to Register is August 7, 2020

Where will we stay?

Our team will say in a couple of different hotels as we travel throughout Israel. These are chosen by our partner in Israel, they are all 5 star hotels.

What will we eat?

We will mostly eat local foods and get a taste of the culture and customary foods they eat in Israel. It’s very hard to accommodate food allergies in some countries, if you have food allergies, please let me know in advance. To give you a little taste, the most common choices in restaurants are pairings of pita bread that can be stuffed with a variety of different foods. You can lean towards a meat filled pita bread or veggie based style in nearly every place you go to eat, both having endless possibilities for things you can pair with it. Whatever you choose, know that it was crafted well!

What should I bring?

Each trip is different and you’ll be given a packing list for this specific trip at the mission meeting which is typically held 2 weeks prior to the trip.

Do I need vaccines?

We always recommend that you check the CDC and your doctor for recommendations when traveling. www.cdc.gov/travel
