Olive oil has long been considered one of the special miracles that mankind has been able to “mine” from the natural world. For thousands of years, olive oil has been found in applications as common as daily cooking to as sacred as being the key ingredient in anointing oil. However, one cannot have olive oil without the process of pressing – and this is a clear and irreplaceable principle that we see in spiritual formation as well. 

Once a person has become a follower of Jesus and has taken time to learn and imitate His words and His ways, there is an important next stage in spiritual formation that we want to help disciples approach. That next stage is one, if you’ll keep the olive/olive oil analogy in mind, of fruitfulness.  God has given each of us special gifts and intentional influence that we are called to turn outward and sow into a spiritually impoverished world. 

What we call our “Training Center” is our approach of taking that fruitfulness and refining it – like olives to olive oil – for the sake of effectiveness.  We want each follower of Jesus to feel equipped and ready to be sent into their God-given places. We do this through Core Trainings.
