Honduras – Jungle Hospital Construction 2027
We are excited to be traveling to Honduras to serve with construction needs at the Jungle Hospital in Rio Viejo, Honduras. The Jungle Hospital is a primary care facility bringing health, hope, and healing to 34 villages in the surrounding mountain area. The Jungle Hospital is a Kingdom Builders partner and is run by Dr. Martin and Wendy Williams.

Passport: A passport is required for this trip. Passports must not expire within 6 months of return date and must include 3 blank visa pages. A passport must be signed to be valid.
Cost: Costs are estimated and subject to change due to the number of participants and changing prices from vendors. Payments are due as scheduled leading up to the trip.
Charitable Giving: This trip IS qualified as charitable giving. Payments for mission trips are considered charitable giving and will be reflected in the donor’s annual giving statement.

Personal Fundraising:

Included in cost: Air transportation, lodging, food, ministry project supplies, and a Global Missions team t-shirt are included in the cost of the trip. Trip participants may be asked to collect items that will be donated or used during the trip.
Refunds: If for any reason you cannot or prefer not to go, we will refund/credit as much of the trip cost as possible. We will work with you to get as much of the airfare cost credited/refunded as well. The timing of your cancellation and deposits paid to vendors will determine how much can be refunded.

Team Info/Age Requirements: The trip is designed for adults of any age with skills in painting, roofing, plumbing and electrical. This is an active trip.
Health: The question of vaccinations is left to the discretion of the team member and their physician. The CDC does have recommendations for vaccinations. Visit a travel clinic, consult your personal physician and check out cdc.gov for further information.
Lodging Accommodations: Our teams stay in the dormitory at the Jungle Hospital. Food: Some meals will be made for the team, other meals will be at restaurants. If you have food allergies, please notify us in advance and be prepared to bring snacks.
Packing: Each trip is different and you’ll be given a packing list for this specific trip at the mission trip info meeting before our departure. You will bring all the basic necessities for hygiene and living. The climate is very tropical, but allows for many different types of clothing to be comfortable.
Pre-Trip Team Training Meetings: Your trip leader will reach out to you about team meetings before the trip. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your team, begin coordinating tools and supplies needed, and learn more details about what is recommended to pack. Attendance is required for all team meetings, training, and practical ministry experiences.
