Youth Honduras Mission Trip 2023

Youth, this is your trip! You will be spending an amazing week at the San Pedro Sula Dream Center in Honduras to serve alongside them while they bring resources, activities, community, and support to kids, youth, and their families living in at-risk areas of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The SPS Dream Center is a Kingdom Builders partner and run by Pastors Pablo & Kim Elvir of the CityHope Honduras campus.

Registration for the team is on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your spot fill out the online registration and submit your non-refundable deposit. Registration will close on February 26, 2023.

Who is this trip for? This trip is for high school students. Priority will be given to juniors and seniors who have not yet been on a mission trip. Kingdom Builders Future Christian Leaders scholarships are available for those that meet the requirements below.

Cost: $1,750 per person.*
*Cost is based upon estimated airfare and is subject to change depending on the actual cost of airfare.

Payment Schedule:
Non-refundable Deposit due upon registration: $200
Payment 2, due Feb 26, 2023 = $500 (Cumulative total = $700)
Payment 3, due Mar 26, 2023 = $500 (Cumutlative total = $1200)
Payment 4, due Apr 26, 2023 = $550 (Cumulative total = $1750)

Charitable Giving:
This trip IS qualified as charitable giving. Payments for mission trips are considered charitable giving and will be reflected on your annual giving statement.  If someone gives money to help pay for your registration, they can be issued a receipt for their gift upon request.

What’s included in the cost?  Airfare and one checked bag, lodging, meals, and ground transportation in Honduras, ministry project supplies and Kingdom Builders Go Global team shirt.

Passports:
Passports are required for this trip and are not covered by the registration fee.
A color copy of your passport is due APRIL 28, 2023.
Your passport MUST NOT EXPIRE before JANUARY 3, 2024.

Mandatory Trip Meeting:
We will meet as a team about one month before the trip. The date and location of the meeting will be communicated to you in advance. It is mandatory for all team members. We will tell you more about the trip, what to expect and answer your questions.

Refunds:
If for any reason you cannot or prefer not to go and you are paying out of pocket, we will refund/credit as much of the trip cost as possible. We will work with you to get as much of the airfare cost credited/refunded as well. The timing of your cancelation and deposits paid to vendors will determine how much can be refunded. Refunds do not apply to scholarships.

Scholarships:
In order to qualify as a Future Christian Leader and receive Kingdom Builders funding for the trip, the following criteria must be met:

1)The student must register here.
2) This trip must be the FIRST mission trip with CityHope Church for the student. Any student who has been on a mission trip with CityHope before will not receive a scholarship from the Kingdom Builders fund.
3) The student must read the book “A Tale of Three Kings.”
4) The student must write an essay on why they want to go on a mission trip. This essay must be emailed to youth@cityhope.cc.
5) The student must be a regular attendee of Wednesday night Youth Nights on their campus and quarterly Collectives.
6) The student must be serving somewhere at CityHope on Sundays. (Serving for a minimum of six months prior to scholarship approval.)

After registering here, your campus’ Youth Director will reach out and check on your progress on the rest of the criteria.
